Studio access & your team
A staff member can’t see part of the Studio
Quick answer
The sidebar shows only what a person’s role allows and what your platform has switched on. Check their role for the permission that opens the page, then check the feature switch.
Check this first
- 1Find their role
Go to Studio → Management → Staff Members, search for the person and read the Role column.
- 2Check the role’s capabilities
An administrator opens that role in Studio → Management → Roles & Permissions and looks for the permission that opens the missing page.
- 3Check the module is switched on
A module switched off in Settings → Content → Features leaves the sidebar for everyone, administrators included.
- 4Check sports and add-ons
Teams, Athletes and Roster Positions need Is platform sport on. An add-on’s pages need the add-on switched on in System → Plugins.
- 5Ask them to reload the Studio
A role change reaches their sidebar the next time the Studio loads.
Likely cause and fix
| What’s missing | Why | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Roles & Permissions, System → Plugins or payment provider settings | These stay with Admins. No permission opens them. | An Admin does this work |
| A whole section, such as Shop or Radio | The role lacks its permission, or the module is switched off | Tick the permission, or switch the module on in Features |
| The activity log | The role lacks Analytics dashboard | Tick it on the role |
| Streaming and Recordings in Settings, or New feed and New playout | The broadcast console is locked | Unlock it with the console password |
| An add-on’s pages | The add-on is off, or it has no permissions of its own and stays admin-only | Switch it on in System → Plugins, or tick its permission |
