How do I find out who changed something?
Quick answer
Open the activity log from the Recent activity card on the Dashboard. Filter by record type and date, and each entry names the staff member who made the change.
Check this first
- 1Open the log
Go to Studio → Dashboard and select View all on the Recent activity card.
- 2Pick the record type
Under Filters, choose the Activity types you care about, such as Plan, Staff member or Settings.
- 3Narrow the dates
Set From and To around when the change happened.
- 4Read the entry
Check the action and changed fields, then the staff member’s name, role and email on the right. On a narrow screen the name is hidden, so widen the window. Select the entry to open the record, if it still exists.
Likely cause and fix
| What you see | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| No Recent activity card, or View all sends you to another page | Your role lacks View dashboard or Analytics dashboard | Ask an administrator to tick them |
| “No activity matches your filters.” | The date range or types are too narrow | Widen From and To, or select Clear filters |
| The entry says System | The platform made the change on its own, not a staff member | Look for an automatic job around that time, such as a season import |
| The entry names a login several people share | The log names the account, not the person | Give everyone their own staff account from now on |
| Selecting the entry opens nothing | The record has since been deleted | Read what the entry records: its type, action, fields and who |
| A score change isn’t in the log | Changes made in the scoring app go to the score history, not the activity log | Check with your scorers and see the scoring docs |
