The short version: this website keeps one preference on your device — whether you’re viewing it in the light or dark theme. It sets no advertising cookies and does no cross-site tracking. If that ever changes, this page will say so first.
01What this notice covers
This notice covers the MediaCore2 website you’re reading now, including its documentation.
It doesn’t cover the platforms operators run on MediaCore2. Each of those is published under the operator’s own brand, and the operator’s cookie and privacy notices explain what their platform stores.
02Cookies and local storage, briefly
- Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to keep. They’re sent back to that website with each request.
- Local storage is space in your browser where a website can keep small values. Unlike a cookie, it isn’t sent with your requests — it stays on your device until it’s cleared.
Rules on storing information on your device generally treat the two the same way, so this notice does too.

05Requests to other services
Two things on this site involve another company:
- Typefaces. Today the site’s fonts are delivered by a third-party web font service. To send them, that service receives your browser’s standard request details, including your IP address. If we move to serving the fonts ourselves, this line will go.
- Social icons. The icons in the footer are plain links. Nothing from those networks loads until you follow one — and once you’re on their site, their own cookies and notices apply.
06If we add measurement
We may later measure how the site is used — which pages are read, whether demo requests are completed, which documentation searches find nothing. Before we do, we will:
- Add each tool to this notice, with what it stores, what it collects and how long it keeps it
- Ask for your consent first wherever the law requires it, and make withdrawing it as easy as giving it
- Prefer measurement that doesn’t need to identify you — the approach MediaCore2 already takes when it counts a platform’s own audience
07Your choices
- Switch the theme with the toggle in the header. The stored value follows.
- Clear it by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings. The site returns to the dark theme.
- Block it by blocking site data in your browser. Everything still works; the site just won’t remember a light theme between visits.
08Platforms that run on MediaCore2
The operator of each platform decides what it stores and describes it in their own notice. A few defaults are worth knowing:
- The platform remembers the operator’s palette, logo and favicon on the visitor’s device, so a returning visitor sees that brand from the first moment.
- Built-in audience analytics keep an irreversible scrambled value for each visitor, never a readable IP address — and the operator can switch collection off.
- Third-party analytics tags, pixels and chat widgets appear only where the operator adds them, and they’re the operator’s to disclose.
