02/ 07WITHOUT IT

  1. 01

The sponsor wants a spot before kick-off, a banner on the schedule and a logo in the app — and your stream, your site and your apps each need a different tool to carry it.

  2. 02

The ad network sends a tag, and somebody has to find a developer to paste it into a page template.

  3. 03

And the member who pays every month sits through the same ads as a stranger who never signed up.

03/ 07HOW IT WORKS

Every ad surface is a form in your Studio. Nothing is coded into a page, and nothing waits on a developer.

  1. Step 01

    Set the video breaks

In System → Settings → Content → Video Ads, tick Enable this break on the pre-roll, mid-roll or post-roll. Give it a video link, a VAST tag from your ad server or a video from your media library, then choose when Skip appears.

  2. Step 02

    Fill the website placements

Under Marketing → Web Ads, open any of the 8 placements and switch it on. Paste ad-network or sponsor code, pick an image with a click-through link, or use the live-score strip that fills itself.

  3. Step 03

    Load the app rotation

Under Marketing → Mobile Ads, add a banner image, a name and an optional link. Every active ad has the same chance of showing in your mobile apps.

  4. Step 04

    Make ad-free worth paying for

Under Management → Subscription Plans, switch off Show ads to subscribers on any plan. Members holding it watch with no video breaks and no banners inside the player.

04/ 07WHAT IT DOES

Video breaks, website banners, a homepage sponsor strip and app banners — each filled from a screen in your Studio, with no page template to touch.

01

Three breaks around every video

Pre-roll before the video starts, mid-roll partway through, post-roll when it ends. The same breaks cover live events, on-demand titles, episodes and live TV channels, and play only for viewers already allowed to watch.

02

Mid-rolls timed for live and recorded

On a live broadcast the mid-roll repeats every 1 to 240 minutes of actual watching, then rejoins the live edge. On a recording it plays once at 1% to 95% of the running time and resumes exactly where it stopped.

03

A skip button you control

Choose when Skip appears, up to 120 seconds in, with a countdown on screen — or enter 0 for a spot nobody can skip. Seeking and playback speed stay locked until the ad ends.

04

Bring your ad server

Paste a direct MP4 or HLS link, or a VAST tag, and the platform reads the video and its impression link from it. An ad that fails to load is skipped, so it never holds up the stream.

05

Banners inside the player

Image or embedded banners along the bottom of the player during playback, one at a time, switching every 18 seconds when you run more than one. Viewers can close them; image banners click through to the sponsor.

06

Eight placements, three formats

Top and bottom of the homepage, listing pages, detail pages and your other pages. Each takes pasted ad code, an image with an optional link, or a strip of today’s games and live scores from your score ticker.

07

A sponsor strip on the homepage

Add a banner section under Home → Sections and drag it between any two rows: up to 4 images, GIFs or embeds in one strip that scales with the screen.

08

A sticky rail beside your articles

Stack up to 6 image or embedded banners beside your blog list and articles. They show on large screens and stay in view while the reader scrolls.

09

App banners on their own rotation

The mobile apps draw from an inventory kept apart from your website. Each banner is one active ad picked at random, and Hide pauses a campaign without deleting it.

Questions operators ask

Every pre-roll, mid-roll and post-roll, and the banners inside the player. Website placements, the homepage sponsor strip and the blog sidebar still show to everyone, so sell those as site-wide sponsorship. A member whose ad-free plan you later archive keeps the perk for as long as their plan runs.
