Use this page when you build a role in Studio → Management → Roles & Permissions and want to know exactly what a tick hands over. Groups appear in the order the matrix shows them. Only Admins can open Roles & Permissions; how roles work is covered in roles & permissions.
Admin holds every permission, including the areas no permission can grant.
A section of the Studio sidebar appears as soon as a role holds one permission that opens a page in it.
Staff alerts follow permissions: a person receives an alert when their role holds a permission linked to it. See the notification reference.
Some rows appear only on sports platforms, or only while an add-on is switched on.

These seven rows belong to the scoring app a volunteer uses at the venue. None of them opens a page in the Studio, and they only appear while Is platform sport is on. On screen, each row starts with the scoring app’s name.

Add-on permissions appear in the matrix while the add-on is switched on in System → Plugins and vanish while it’s off. Switching it back on restores what each role had ticked. The Forms permissions sit in the Content group above; Ticketing brings a group of its own.
