Use this page when you build a role in Studio → Management → Roles & Permissions and want to know exactly what a tick hands over. Groups appear in the order the matrix shows them. Only Admins can open Roles & Permissions; how roles work is covered in roles & permissions.

  • Admin holds every permission, including the areas no permission can grant.
  • A section of the Studio sidebar appears as soon as a role holds one permission that opens a page in it.
  • Staff alerts follow permissions: a person receives an alert when their role holds a permission linked to it. See the notification reference.
  • Some rows appear only on sports platforms, or only while an add-on is switched on.
