02/ 07WITHOUT IT

  1. 01

The website thinks a member is paid up, the TV app thinks they lapsed last week, and the phone app has never heard of the season pass.

  2. 02

A fan on the wrong plan gets a generic subscribe button — and buys the plan that still doesn’t unlock the match they came for.

  3. 03

One login ends up on a dozen living-room TVs, and the only fix anyone has is to lock the account and wait for the angry email.

03/ 07HOW IT WORKS

Plans live in Studio → Management → Subscription Plans. Access is set on each item, and the gate works from there.

  1. Step 01

    Pick the shape

Recurring runs from the day each member buys, for every so many days, weeks, months or years. Fixed window runs between a Start date and an End date you set, and closes for every buyer together.

  2. Step 02

    Decide what it carries

A price, a device limit, optional free days and whether subscribers see video ads. With the Clip or Reels add-on installed, the same form can include clipping or reel posting.

  3. Step 03

    Lock content to it

Open events, on-demand titles, shows and live channels to any active plan, or restrict them to the plans you name. Articles open to every subscriber, or to a single plan you pick.

  4. Step 04

    Let the gate answer

The same rules decide on your website, phone apps and TV apps. On the website, a blocked viewer sees what’s missing — an account, a plan, a ticket or a free device slot — with a button to it.

04/ 07WHAT IT DOES

Each capability below is set on the plan form, on the content itself, or in the Studio screens beside them.

01

One decision on every screen

Your website, phone apps and TV apps put the same question to the same rules. A member who signs in on the living-room TV gets exactly what their plan buys on the web.

02

Season passes that close on time

A fixed-window plan ends at its End date for every holder, however early or late they bought. Once that date passes, access stops and the pass takes itself off your pricing page.

03

The right plan, pre-filtered

Restrict an event, on-demand title or show to named plans, and the plans button on its lock screen opens your pricing page showing only those plans, under a banner naming the title — with a Show all plans link to widen it.

04

Trials that can’t be farmed

Add up to 365 free days to a Recurring plan and take the card on Stripe. Each person gets the trial once per plan, however often they cancel and return, and the plan card shows the free days.

05

Device limits without lockouts

Set 1 to 999 devices per plan. Browsers, phone apps and TV apps all count. Go over and everything the plan unlocks pauses until the viewer signs a device out — signing in always works.

06

Pass holders free, everyone else ticketed

Set an event to Subscription OR PPE and restrict it to your season pass. Holders press play; a signed-in viewer with neither sees Subscribe and a buy-access button side by side.

07

Codes for promotions

Create codes in Studio → Management → Coupons for 1 to 100% off every plan or selected ones. Codes ignore capitals, count uses against a limit, and stop working after their date.

08

Comps that stack

Open a viewer in Studio → Management → Users and pick a plan, ending on the plan’s own length or a date you choose. It’s logged as an Admin grant at zero and sits beside anything they bought.

09

Notice before a plan lapses

Members are notified in the 3 days before their plan ends and again once it has, each notice linking back to your plans, so a lapse is a prompt to renew instead of a surprise.

Questions operators ask

Yes. Trial days make the plan charge when the trial ends unless the member cancels, whether Auto-renew is on or off. That’s also why checkout only offers a provider that can renew it.
