How do I change a word or label on my site?
Quick answer
Rewrite it in Studio → System → Settings → Locale → Translations: search for the words you see, edit the row and save. The new wording is live straight away.
Check this first
- 1Search what’s on screen
Open Studio → System → Settings → Locale → Translations and type the exact words visitors see into Search by key or text…. Use the group menu, which starts on All groups, to narrow a long list.
- 2Edit the right row
Click the pencil on the row. A field opens for each language switched on for your platform — change the one your site uses.
- 3Save and look again
Click the save icon beside the fields. When “Saved” appears, reload the page on your public site where the words appear.
- 4Is it your own content?
Event titles, article text and product names aren’t on this screen. Open the item itself and edit it there.

| The old word still shows in one place | The same word is used by several phrases — a heading, a button, an empty state | Search again for the exact wording in that spot and edit that row too. |
| A name or title is missing from the new wording | A placeholder such as :name or :title was deleted | Put the placeholder back, in any position in the sentence. |
| A receipt, reminder or push notification reads wrong | Notification wording lives on its own screen | Edit it in Studio → System → Notification Templates. |
| Nothing changed after you saved | You edited a language your site isn’t using | Check the site language in Locale → Language, then edit that language’s field. |
