My custom domain isn’t working
Quick answer
There’s no domain field in the Studio — your address is connected with the TKDS team during setup. Most problems are DNS records that aren’t added yet, haven’t spread yet, or an older record still in the way.
Check this first
- 1Check from a second network
Open your address on a phone using mobile data as well as on your office connection. DNS changes can take from minutes to a day or two to reach every network.
- 2Compare the records
At your domain provider, compare the DNS records with the ones the TKDS team gave you, character for character.
- 3Remove what’s in the way
Delete any older record for the same name that points somewhere else.
- 4Try both spellings
Open the address with and without www. The one you don’t use should forward to your primary address.
Likely cause → fix
| What you see | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| The address opens an old site or nothing at all | The records aren’t added, or an older record wins | Add the records exactly as given and remove the old one. |
| It works on one network but not another | The change is still spreading | Wait, and check again from both networks. |
| One spelling works, the other doesn’t | The other spelling isn’t forwarded | Set it to redirect to your primary address at your domain provider. |
| No padlock, or a browser security warning | The secure connection isn’t ready for that address | Tell TKDS support before you share the address anywhere. |
| Receipts and password resets come from the wrong address | From address hasn’t been changed | Set it in Studio → System → Settings → Security → SMTP. |
