Visitors see a holding page instead of my site
Quick answer
Maintenance mode is on. Open Studio → System → Settings → System → Maintenance and click Bring site back online.
Check this first
- 1Open Maintenance
Go to Studio → System → Settings → System → Maintenance. The status card reads Maintenance Mode is ON or Maintenance Mode is OFF.
- 2Bring the site back
Click Bring site back online and confirm. The card changes to Maintenance Mode is OFF.
- 3Check as a stranger
Open your homepage in a private window, or on a phone using mobile data.
Likely cause → fix
| What you see | Likely cause | Fix |

| Visitors get the holding page but your site looks normal to you | Your browser has opened the bypass URL, or had the site open before maintenance mode went on | Check in a private window. That’s what visitors see. |
| Your apps and the Studio work, but the website doesn’t | Maintenance mode closes your website’s pages only | Bring the site back online. |
| There’s no Settings in your Studio sidebar | Your role doesn’t include Site Settings | Ask an administrator to switch it off. |
| The card says OFF but a visitor still sees the holding page | Their page is from before you switched it off | Ask them to reload. If it persists from several networks, open a ticket. |
