Set these on day one, before anyone creates a plan, a price or an event. An administrator does it once. All three are site-wide: one language, one currency and one timezone for the whole platform.

Choose the site language

MediaCore2 ships in English, French and Arabic. The language you pick is the one your whole site uses for every visitor — along with your Studio, your apps’ interface, emails and phone notifications.

  1. 1
    Open Language

Go to Studio → System → Settings → Locale → Language. Each available language shows as a card with its reading direction, LTR or RTL.

  2. 2
    Pick and apply

Click a language card, then Apply language. The change takes effect straight away.

Arabic and right-to-left

Switching to Arabic changes more than the words. The entire layout mirrors — navigation, sidebars, tables, forms, sliders and the player’s controls. The typeface changes to one drawn for Arabic, directional arrows flip, and dates and numbers stay in the digits your audience reads. It covers your public site, your Studio, your emails and your notifications.

Choose which languages are available

Arabic ships switched off, and only languages that are on appear as cards. Which languages are offered at all is protected by the broadcast console lock.

  1. 1
    Unlock the console

Unlock the broadcast console with its password — see The broadcast console password lock. An Available languages list then appears on the Language screen.

  2. 2
    Switch languages on or off

Turn each language on or off, then click Apply availability.

  3. 3
    Finish the wording first

Before you make a newly available language the site language, read through its wording in Locale → Translations.

Set currency and timezone

  1. 1
    Open Region

Go to Studio → System → Settings → Locale → Region.

  2. 2
    Pick a currency

Choose Default currency from the 12 on offer. It’s used everywhere money appears.

  3. 3
    Pick a timezone and save

Choose Default timezone from the 31 on offer, then click Save changes.
