The replay of my event didn’t publish
Replays of Automatic, CamScheduler and AI Camera events publish themselves when their first recording arrives. A Manual event’s replay is usually saved as Inactive with no video, for you to finish and publish.
Check this first
- 1Check the event has ended
Manual and AI Camera replays are created when the event retires, within a few minutes of its end time. On the Events list, the event shows as Inactive.
- 2Look for the title
Open the bell for a “Recording imported” notification, or search for the event’s title in Studio → Content → On-Demand.
- 3Check its status
Open the title and look at Active under Publishing.
- 4Check it has a video
Look at the Stream card and the Playlist card. A title with no video or parts has nothing to play yet.
- 5Check again now
Recordings are checked every few minutes. An administrator can run Scan now in Studio → System → Settings → Content → Recordings, which appears once the console is unlocked.
Likely cause → fix
| What you find | Why | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| No on-demand title for an Automatic or CamScheduler event | Its title is only created when the first recording arrives | Wait a few minutes, or use Scan now. |
| An Inactive title with no video, from a Manual event | Manual replays are created from the event’s details only | Pick the recording in Video file (or add it as parts), set Active on and click SAVE CHANGES. |
| An Inactive title that has parts | It was set to Inactive, or parts were added by hand without switching Active on. Later recordings never publish it again. | Set Active on and save. |
| The replay asks for a plan, or is locked when you wanted it free | A replay starts with its event’s access. On-demand titles are free or subscription only, so a ticketed event’s replay asks for a plan. | On the replay’s Access card, choose Free, or Subscription with the plans that should unlock it, and save. |
| The replay is split into Part 1, Part 2… | The encoder reconnected, so each recording became its own part | Rename, reorder or remove parts in the Playlist card. |
