Promotion starts the moment you save an event. Its page is public and shareable from day one, a homepage hero slide and a programme guide listing are created for you, and viewers who save it get reminders. This page covers each tool and the gotchas that come with the automatic ones.

Share the event

  1. 1
    Get the key

Open the event in Studio → Content → Events and click Copy in the Event key banner.

  2. 2
    Share the page

Click the eye icon on the event’s row (View public), then Share on the public page. Use Copy for the link, or pick a network.

  3. 3
    Fill in the SEO card

Before you post, set SEO title and SEO description on the event so the link preview reads well.

Work with the automatic hero slide

  1. 1
    Save the event as Active

The slide appears in Studio → Home → Sliders, showing that it’s auto-synced from an event. It uses the event’s Title, Short description and Banner (or Poster), with a Watch now button.

  2. 2
Change the slide through the event

To reword the slide, edit the event and save. Changes made on the slide itself are overwritten the next time the event is saved.

  3. 3
Set how far ahead the hero looks

At the top of Studio → Home → Sliders, set Hero timeframe to All time, Next 24 hours, Next 3 days, Next week or Custom. The card shows how many active slides are in the hero right now.

The Studio
Studio → Home → Sliders with Hero timeframe set to Next 3 days, and an event slide showing its auto-synced marker.
