The Stream card on every event decides where the picture comes from. There are three ways to get a signal into an event, and none of them needs new equipment. Choose one when you create the event. You can change it until the day, but not while you’re on air.

The three source modes

Attach an existing feed (Manual)

  1. 1
    Check the feed exists

Make sure the camera is listed in Studio → Feed Console → Feeds.

  2. 2
    Pick Manual

In the event’s Stream card, click M · Manual.

  3. 3
    Choose the feed

In Feed, search for and select the feed. A note confirms “Stream URL is managed by the feed”.

  4. 4
    Save

Click SAVE CHANGES. The feed’s picture appears on the watch page when the window opens, and is taken away again when it closes.

Push from your encoder (Automatic)

  1. 1
    Pick Automatic

Click A · Automatic. The card reads “Save the event first to mint a unique RTMP ingest URL.”

  2. 2
    Save once

Click SAVE CHANGES. The RTMP ingest URL and Secret key boxes fill in. Before the first save they say “Available after save”.

  3. 3
    Copy both values

Click each box to copy it, then paste them into your encoder’s server and stream key fields. Encoder setup shows where they go in OBS and vMix.

  4. 4
    Go live early

Start your encoder a few minutes before the start time, and check the event’s card in Studio → Feed Console → Event Hub.

  1. 1
    Pick CamScheduler

    Click C · CamScheduler.

  2. 2
    Name the camera

In Camera, choose which camera pushes to this event. Every feed on the platform is listed.

  3. 3
    Save

Click SAVE CHANGES. The ingest details appear just as they do for Automatic, and the event shows as CamScheduler in the Events list’s Mode column.
