Pick how your event goes live
Choose between attaching an existing feed, pushing from your own encoder, or scheduling an unattended camera.

The Stream card on every event decides where the picture comes from. There are three ways to get a signal into an event, and none of them needs new equipment. Choose one when you create the event. You can change it until the day, but not while you’re on air.
The three source modes
| Source mode tile | What you do | Best for | Where you watch it in the Studio |
|---|---|---|---|
| M · Manual (Pick a Live Feed) | Pick a feed you already have. The event streams whatever it broadcasts during the event window. | A venue camera or channel you run every week | Studio → Feed Console → Feed Hub |
| A · Automatic (Get an RTMP ingest URL) | Save the event, copy its push address and key into OBS, vMix or a hardware encoder, and start streaming. | A crew with an encoder at the venue | Studio → Feed Console → Event Hub |
| C · CamScheduler (RTMP ingest, from a chosen camera) | The event gets its own push address, and you name the camera that pushes into it on schedule. | Unattended cameras that start and stop with the window | Studio → Feed Console → Event Hub |
Attach an existing feed (Manual)
- 1Check the feed exists
Make sure the camera is listed in Studio → Feed Console → Feeds.
- 2Pick Manual
In the event’s Stream card, click M · Manual.
- 3Choose the feed
In Feed, search for and select the feed. A note confirms “Stream URL is managed by the feed”.
- 4Save
Click SAVE CHANGES. The feed’s picture appears on the watch page when the window opens, and is taken away again when it closes.
Push from your encoder (Automatic)
- 1Pick Automatic
Click A · Automatic. The card reads “Save the event first to mint a unique RTMP ingest URL.”
- 2Save once
Click SAVE CHANGES. The RTMP ingest URL and Secret key boxes fill in. Before the first save they say “Available after save”.
- 3Copy both values
Click each box to copy it, then paste them into your encoder’s server and stream key fields. Encoder setup shows where they go in OBS and vMix.
- 4Go live early
Start your encoder a few minutes before the start time, and check the event’s card in Studio → Feed Console → Event Hub.
Schedule an unattended camera (CamScheduler)
- 1Pick CamScheduler
Click C · CamScheduler.
- 2Name the camera
In Camera, choose which camera pushes to this event. Every feed on the platform is listed.
- 3Save
Click SAVE CHANGES. The ingest details appear just as they do for Automatic, and the event shows as CamScheduler in the Events list’s Mode column.
