Two people are scoring the same game
Quick answer
That’s safe. Each change is checked against the latest score, so a phone that’s behind is stopped and shown the current score. It can’t overwrite a newer score.
Check this first
- 1Read the message on the phone
“The event was updated from another device.” means another phone got there first. The refused change isn’t saved.
- 2Look before you tap again
Check the current score. The other scorer may already have added the points you were about to add.
- 3Agree who leads
Pick one lead scorer. The second person watches and steps in only if the lead’s phone drops.
- 4Give each person their own login
Create a separate staff account for the backup scorer in Studio → Management → Staff Members, so the score history names who made each change.
What happens when both score

| Both tap at nearly the same moment | The first change is accepted. The second is refused and isn’t recorded. | The second scorer checks the score, then taps again only if it’s still needed |
| One scorer finalizes while the other is still scoring | Further changes are refused with “This event has been finalized and can no longer be edited.” | If the final was locked too early, an administrator reopens it |
| Two people share one login | A phone that’s behind is still stopped, but the history can’t tell the two people apart | Give the second person their own account |
