The venue scoreboard isn’t sending scores
Usually the scoreboard ID on the event is wrong or left over from another game, or the board isn’t running yet. Test the ID in Score Ticker before you look anywhere else.
Check this first
- 1Check the tile and the ID
In Studio → Content → Events, open the game. The venue scoreboard tile (the logo tile beside the Roku tile) must be on, with the scoreboard ID filled in under it.
- 2Paste the ID again
Copy it fresh from your venue’s scoreboard system. One wrong character means no data.
- 3Test the ID
Go to Studio → Ticker → Score Ticker, open a match or create one with NEW MATCH, tick the live scores checkbox below the two teams, enter the same ID and press TEST LIVE.
- 4Read the result
A confirmation that live data was received means the ID works. A no-live-data message means the ID is wrong or the board isn’t sending yet.
- 5Check for a phone scorer
If the live scoring tile is also on and a scorer has started, their numbers show instead of the board’s.
Likely cause and fix
| What you see | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| TEST LIVE finds no data before the game | The board isn’t running yet | Test again once the board is switched on at the venue |
| TEST LIVE works, but the event page shows nothing live | The event’s tile is off, or the event holds a different ID | Switch the tile on, paste the tested ID and save |
| The page shows another game’s score | An old ID left on a reused event | Replace it with this game’s ID and save |
| The scorer’s numbers show instead of the board’s | Phone scoring takes priority once a scorer starts | Switch the live scoring tile off and save |
| There’s no venue scoreboard tile on the form | Is platform sport is off | Switch it on in Settings → Integrations → Platform |
