A fan who wants a scarf shouldn’t have to create an account to buy one. Guest checkout is always available in your store: there’s nothing to switch on. This page is for marketing and shop staff deciding how to handle guest orders.

What a guest does

  1. 1
    Fill the cart

The shopper picks sizes and colours and adds products. The cart is remembered on their device even if they close the tab.

  2. 2
    Enter contact details

At checkout they give their Full name and Email (both required), plus an optional phone number, address and notes.

  3. 3
    Choose how to pay

They pick one of your connected providers and pay on that provider’s secure page. Card details never reach your platform.

  4. 4
    See the confirmation

They return to a confirmation page showing their order number, in the format ORD-YYYYMMDD-0001.

Get your store ready for guest orders

  1. 1
    Turn the store on

Make sure Shop is on in Studio → System → Settings → Content → Features.

  2. 2
    Connect a provider

In Studio → Management → Payments → Gateways, enable at least one provider. Checkout only offers providers that are fully set up and can take your site’s currency.

  3. 3
    Place a test order

With the provider in Sandbox, open your shop in a private browser window, check out as a guest and pay with a test card.

  4. 4
    Find the order

Open Studio → Shop → Orders. Your test order should be there with payment status Paid. Change it to Cancelled once you’re done.
