Put a product on sale

Set a sale price that shows a SALE badge, strikes through the regular price and charges the lower amount at checkout.

Use a sale price for end-of-season clearance, a playoff promotion or last year’s kit. There’s no separate promotion to set up: the product’s Sale price field does all of it, and removing the value ends the sale.

Go to Studio → Shop → Products and click the product.

  2. 2
    Enter the sale price

In the pricing card, type the discounted amount in Sale price. Leave Price as the regular price so shoppers see the saving.

  3. 3
    Save

Click SAVE CHANGES. The badge and strikethrough appear on the storefront straight away.

  4. 4
    Check the storefront

Open your shop and use the On sale filter. The product should appear with its SALE badge.

End a sale

  1. 1
    Open the product

Studio → Shop → Products, then the product.

  2. 2
    Clear Sale price

Delete the value so the field is empty.

  3. 3
    Save

Click SAVE CHANGES. The badge disappears and new orders are charged the regular price.

Good to know

  • Orders keep the price the shopper actually paid. Ending a sale later never changes an existing order.
  • A shopper’s cart shows current prices when they check out, so a sale that ends mid-browse is charged at the regular price.
  • Sale pricing works the same on tracked and untracked stock.
  • Discount codes are for subscription plans only. The store uses sale prices, not codes.
