Give someone free access

Grant any plan to a viewer’s account from the Studio, set when it ends, and remove it safely.

Comps are for sponsors, media partners, players’ families, board members and making things right after a problem. A staff member grants a plan to an account in a few clicks. The grant is recorded as staff-issued and worth zero, so it never inflates your revenue figures.

Before you start

  • Your role includes the Manage end-users permission.
  • The person already has a viewer account. If not, ask them to sign up first, or create the account in Studio → Management → Users.
  • The plan you want to grant is set to Visible on pricing page, because hidden plans aren’t offered in the picker.

Grant a plan

    Find the viewer

    Go to Studio → Management → Users and search by name or email.

  2. 2
    Open their account

    Click the user to edit them, and scroll to the Subscription panel.

    Pick the plan

    Choose the plan in the Plan list.

    Set when it ends

    Leave AUTO selected to calculate the end from the plan’s length when you save, or choose a date in Expires on for a custom end.

    Leave Auto-renewal off

    Keep Auto-renewal switched OFF for a comp.

    Save

    Save the user. Access starts straight away on every device they sign in on.

    Check the record

    In Studio → Management → Payments → Transactions, filter the gateway to Admin grant. The comp is listed with an amount of zero.
