Duplicate an episode
Copy an episode’s setup as the next episode in its season, then swap in the new details.
For a weekly series, most of an episode’s setup never changes: the running time, the access, the shape of the description. Duplicate copies all of it into a new episode numbered after the last one, so publishing next week’s edition means changing a title, a date and a video.
Duplicate and edit
- 1Upload the new video first
Put this week’s file in Studio → Library → Media Library, so it’s ready to pick the moment the copy exists.
- 2Open the season
Go to Studio → Content → Shows, open the show, and click the season to expand its episodes.
- 3Click Duplicate
On the episode to copy — usually the latest — click the copy icon; its tooltip reads Duplicate. “Episode duplicated.” confirms it, and a new row appears in the list.
- 4Open the copy
Click the pencil on the new row. Its title ends in “(Copy)”.
- 5Change what’s new
Rewrite the Title and Description, set the Air date, and click Change video to pick this week’s file.
- 6Save
Click SAVE.

Getting the number right
The copy’s number counts episodes you’ve deleted, and a deleted episode’s number can’t be given to a new one. Delete Episode 8, duplicate Episode 7, and the copy becomes Episode 9. Plan deletions with that in mind if an unbroken sequence matters to your audience.
