Watch every stream from the Feed Hub
Monitor every feed, pipeline and playout from one wall of live previews, filter it down, and open a stream’s detail page when something looks wrong.
On this page
The Feed Hub is the screen to leave open in the control room. It shows every feed, pipeline and playout side by side, with a moving preview of the actual picture on anything that’s live. Open Studio → Feed Console → Feed Hub; you need the Feed Console permission.
At a glance
Four tiles across the top count Total streams, Live now, Feeds and Playouts. Below them, each stream has a card labelled Feed, Pipeline or Playout.
| On a card | What it means |
|---|---|
| Red status with a pulsing dot and a moving preview | The stream is broadcasting |
| Amber warning | The Studio couldn’t reach the streaming server for this stream |
| Grey, Idle | Nothing is being pushed right now |
| Viewers and Bitrate | Who is watching and how much data is arriving |
| Destinations count, or Videos on a playout | How many simulcast destinations or routes a feed or pipeline has, or how many videos a playout holds |
Filter and refresh
- Filter chips — All, Feed, Pipeline and Playout, plus AI Cameras, VAR Cameras and SRT Feeds when you have feeds of those kinds. The Feed chip leaves out both camera types but includes SRT feeds.
- Auto refresh — updates every card every 5 seconds. It pauses while the Feed Hub’s browser tab is hidden and picks up again when you come back.
- Refresh — updates immediately.
- Fullscreen — opens a live preview full screen.
A stream’s detail page
Select a card to open the stream’s detail page: a live player, 8 statistic tiles, a rolling Performance chart of bitrate, viewers and data received, the stream’s information and its push details.
| Tile | Look at it when |
|---|---|
| Status | You need to know whether the stream is broadcasting |
| Start Time and Duration (min) | A stream restarted without anyone noticing |
| Destinations | A platform is missing its stream |
| Resolution | The picture looks soft |
| Bitrate (Mbps) | The picture stutters or freezes |
| Viewers | You want the live audience number |
| Data Received | You want to confirm data is still arriving |
The Event Hub
Studio → Feed Console → Event Hub does the same job for events with their own push address or camera. Tiles count Total events, Live now, Upcoming and Ingest URLs; filters narrow it to All Sources, Automatic, AI Camera or SRT; and each event shows LIVE, UPCOMING, ENDED or UNSCHEDULED. Switch between Cards and Table, and select Details to see the event’s broadcast window marked IN WINDOW or OUTSIDE. The Event Hub has its own permission, Event Hub (RTMP ingest).
Alerts when something drops
When a live channel stops broadcasting unexpectedly, staff with Feed Console or ticker access get a notification — “Channel offline” with the channel’s name — telling them to check the encoder or source. Before an automatic event opens its ingest window, a heads-up asks you to confirm the encoder is pushing. Both arrive in the Studio notification inbox; email for them is off unless you switch it on.
