Our TV channel still shows the old artwork
Quick answer
The channel loads its background, banner and splash video when it opens, so a channel left running keeps the old ones. Check you saved in the Roku TV tab, then close the channel and open it again.
Check this first
- 1Open the Roku TV tab
Go to Studio → System → Settings → Integrations → Roku TV. Only administrators and roles with the Site Settings (theme, branding, integrations…) permission can open it.
- 2Check each slot
Look at the previews under Channel background, Top banner and Splash video.
- 3Save
Press SAVE CHANGES. Nothing reaches the TV until you do.
- 4Restart the channel
Close the channel on the TV completely and open it again.
Likely cause → fix
| What you see | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Old artwork after saving | The channel was already open | Close the channel and reopen it. |
| A slot is blank on the TV | Its file was deleted from the media library, or the slot was cleared | Press Pick from library, choose a file and save. |
| Artwork looks stretched or cropped | The file isn’t the expected size | Export the background at 1280×720 and the banner at 930×100. |
| Old logo or colours in the app | Those come from Appearance, not the Roku TV tab | Update Studio → System → Settings → Appearance → Theme or Branding, save, then reopen the app. |
| Old icon or name in the TV’s app store | The store listing isn’t changed from the Studio | Open a ticket saying which store and what should change. |
