Brand your TV channel launch screen
Stage the background, top banner and splash video your TV channel shows, from Settings → Integrations → Roku TV.
Your TV channel’s artwork is the first thing a viewer sees on the living-room screen, so it’s worth refreshing each season. An administrator sets three slots in the Studio. There’s no app update to wait for.
| Slot | File | Where it appears |
|---|---|---|
| Channel background | 1280×720 JPG | Behind the channel’s home grid |
| Top banner | 930×100 JPG | Across the top of the channel |
| Splash video | MP4 video | Played briefly when the channel launches |
Prepare your files
- Export the background and banner at exactly the sizes above, so nothing is stretched or cropped on the TV.
- Keep text and logos away from the edges of the background. The home grid sits on top of it.
- Keep the splash video short. It plays every time someone opens the channel.
Set the artwork
- 1Upload the files
Go to Studio → Library → Media Library and upload the background, banner and splash video.
- 2Open the Roku TV tab
Go to Studio → System → Settings → Integrations → Roku TV.
- 3Pick the background
Under Channel background, press Pick from library and choose your 1280×720 image.
- 1Pick the banner
Under Top banner, press Pick from library and choose your 930×100 image.
- 2Pick the splash video
Under Splash video, press Pick from library and choose the MP4. It plays in the slot so you can check it.
- 3Save
Press SAVE CHANGES. The channel uses the new artwork the next time a viewer opens it.
Change or remove a slot
Press Change under a slot to swap its file, or the bin button to clear it, then press SAVE CHANGES. Nothing changes on the TV until you save.
