TV QR sign-in, launch artwork, device limits, where the apps are, mobile ads and push notifications.
- 01The QR code on the TV keeps expiringEach code works for 120 seconds and only once. Sign the phone in before you show the code, then scan and approve straight away.
- 02Our TV channel still shows the old artworkThe channel loads its background, banner and splash video when it opens, so a channel left running keeps the old ones. Check you saved in the Roku TV tab, then close the channel and open it again.
- 03A viewer hit the device limit and nothing playsTheir account is signed in on more devices than their plan allows. Signing in still works, but paid playback pauses everywhere until they log one device out from Devices on their account page.
- 04Which TVs and app stores are our apps on?The apps run on iOS and Android phones and on Roku, Apple TV, Fire TV, Android TV, Samsung and LG. Which store listings are live depends on your brand, so confirm before you print “available on” badges.
- 05Mobile ads aren’t showing in the appThe apps pick one active mobile ad at random each time a banner shows, and show nothing when no ad is active. Check the ad is active, still has its image, and was added under Mobile Ads rather than Web Ads.
- 06Notifications aren’t reaching a phoneA push reaches a phone only when the phone allows notifications from your app, the message went out with the push channel, and neither you nor the viewer has switched push off for it.
