Draft an article with AI

Turn a headline into a formatted first draft with an excerpt, category, search details and a cover image, then edit it before publishing.

Updated 2 min read2 parts

AI-assisted drafting gives an editor a starting point: type a headline and the article form fills with a draft to rewrite, check and publish. It stays off until an administrator switches it on.

Switch it on (administrators)

  1. 1
    Open AI Provider

Go to Studio → System → Settings → Content → AI Provider. You need the Site Settings (theme, branding, integrations…) permission to see this screen.

  2. 2
    Enable it

    Switch on Enable AI generation.

  3. 3
    Enter the token

Paste your token into AI Token. Without one, the screen reminds you: “Enter a token to enable AI generation.”

  4. 4
    Save

Click SAVE CHANGES. The status pill changes from Off to Active.

The Studio
Studio → System → Settings → Content → AI Provider with Enable AI generation switched on, the AI Token field filled and the Active pill showing.

Generate a draft

  1. 1
    Start with a headline

In Studio → Content → Blog & Articles, click NEW POST and type the Title. Generate with AI can’t be clicked until there’s a title.

  2. 2
    Generate

Click Generate with AI. The button reads Generating… while it works, then “Content generated — review and edit before publishing.” appears.

  3. 3
    Review everything

Read the draft in Body, and check the Excerpt, Category, SEO title and SEO description it filled in.

  4. 4
    Make it yours

Rewrite it in your own voice, add tags, galleries and access, then click Save as draft or PUBLISH POST.
