Look up the words MediaCore2 and these docs use, each defined in a sentence with the place in the Studio where you’ll meet it.

Terms are listed alphabetically. Studio locations are written as Studio → Section → Item; some pages only appear when their module is switched on or your role allows them.

| Access model | How an event decides who can play it: Free, Subscription, Pay-per-event or Hybrid. | The access settings on each event |

| Add-on | An optional capability, such as Clip, Reels or Forms, installed with an unlock code. | Studio → System → Plugins |
| Athlete | A person on a team roster, with a public profile card. | Studio → Taxonomy → Athletes |
| Bypass URL | A private address that lets you browse your public site while maintenance mode is on. | Studio → System → Settings → System → Maintenance |
| Carousel | A strip of partner or sponsor logos on the homepage. | Studio → Home → Carousel |
| Comped access | A plan given to a viewer by staff at no charge — recorded, and worth zero in revenue. | A viewer’s account in Studio → Management → Users |
| Conference, Group | Sports groupings above teams, such as a league and its divisions. | Studio → Taxonomy |
| Console lock | A second password protecting the settings that could take a broadcast off the air. | Feed Console and Playout pages |
| Coupon | A percentage discount code for subscription plans. | Studio → Management → Coupons |
| Device limit | How many signed-in devices one account can use for paid playback, set per plan. | Studio → Management → Subscription Plans |
| Event | A scheduled live broadcast with its own page, countdown and access rules. | Studio → Content → Events |
| Feature switch | A setting that turns a whole module on or off. Off hides it; nothing is deleted. | Studio → System → Settings → Content → Features |
| Feed | A live source coming into the platform: encoder push, SRT, automated camera or review camera. | Studio → Feed Console |
| Feed Hub | The monitoring wall showing every feed, route and playout channel, with live previews. | Studio → Feed Console → Feed Hub |
| Hybrid | An event access model: subscribers watch free, everyone else can buy a ticket. | The access settings on each event |
| Live channel | An always-available channel in your public channel line-up. | Studio → Feed Console → Manage Channels |
| Maintenance mode | Your own switch that shows visitors a branded holding page while staff keep working. | Studio → System → Settings → System → Maintenance |

| Pay-per-event | An access model where viewers buy a ticket for one event. | The access settings on each event |
| Playout | A 24/7 channel that plays a playlist of recordings, with nobody at the controls. | Studio → Playout → Playouts |
| Popup | A scheduled message shown to visitors on the homepage. | Studio → Home → Popup |
| Replay | The on-demand title created automatically from an event’s recording when the event ends. | Studio → Content → On-Demand |
| Role | A named set of permissions you create and give to staff members. | Studio → Management → Roles & Permissions |
| Roster position | A group on a team roster, such as Players or Coaches, shown as its own row on the team page. | Studio → Taxonomy → Roster Positions |
| Season pass | A plan with fixed start and end dates that every buyer shares. | Studio → Management → Subscription Plans |
| Section | A row of content on the homepage, filled automatically or by hand. | Studio → Home → Sections |
| Simulcast | Sending one live signal to other platforms, such as YouTube or Facebook, at the same time. | An event’s streaming destinations |
| Site language | The language your whole site speaks for every visitor. | Studio → System → Settings → Locale → Language |
| Site timezone | Your platform’s clock; every schedule, countdown and report is read against it. | Studio → System → Settings → Locale → Region |
| Slider | A slide in the large banner at the top of your homepage, also called the hero. | Studio → Home → Sliders |
| Staff member | Someone who signs in to the Studio. | Studio → Management → Staff Members |

| Subscription plan | What viewers buy for ongoing access: a price, a period, a device limit and extras. | Studio → Management → Subscription Plans |

| Test mode | A payment provider setting that runs checkouts without taking real money. | Studio → Management → Payments → Gateways |
| Ticker | The broadcast-style bar of headlines, alerts and live scores across your site. | Studio → Ticker |
